INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL & REWORKS AGORA - FORUM OF PROJECTS & IDEAS

14-18 SEPTEMBER THESSALONIKI GREECE | Reworks, the sun-filled music gathering which takes place in Thessaloniki, Greece every September, is happy to announce the first wave of acts for its 12th edition. Despite the economic crisis, which still after 6 years still remains in Greece, Reworks expands once again and for the first time it will last for 5 days. Also a new chapter begins for Reworks. Reworks Agora a platform of new ideas and projects will open its doors on September 14th with discussion panels, workshops and key note speaking sessions alongside performances.

An eclectic mix of 70 acts will perform on 12 music rooms from the 16th -18th of September. On the first wave of acts announcement, Reworks this year is excited to welcome back to the city Solomun, Ben Klock, Mano Le Tough, Agoria, Michael Mayer, Anja Schneider, KiNK who will all return to Thessaloniki alongside an exciting line up of acts which will be presented for the first time in Thessaloniki with acts such as Jamie Woon, GusGus, WhoMadeWho, Kiasmos and Kobosil. The Hellenic scene will also be presented vastly with Ison/Actor One, Larry Gus, And.id, Tendts, to be a small but indicative taste on what is going to follow.

Based around the close connection and ties between music, art and e-culture, Reworks presents new musical and artistic paths and directions in one of the most historic parts of the Byzantine city of Thessaloniki. Each of its previous editions has been a landmark in the evolution of forward thinking entertainment, featuring influential musicians, creative artists of both local and international origin and a great party atmosphere augmented by the amazing weather that Greece still experiences at the end of the summer.

We define our Future

With over 900 artists experiencing the festival to date, Reworks resists and tries to stand still on a difficult cultural environment. Today having the economic crisis being a social crisis the need to step up is more necessary than ever before. Hence the festival encourages its audience to “Define their Future” by resisting on the current difficulties and to follow their dreams and ambitions trough musical and artistic creativity.

A meeting point throughout Greece and beyond

For the past few years Reworks gathers friends of music from all around the country and throughout Europe and welcomes them in Thessaloniki giving them days of joy and happiness.

12 stages in total will present a broad spectrum of electronic music. House & techno, Freestyle, Neo-Classical, electronica which will be presented.

Θεσσαλονίκη, Σεπτέμβρης, Reworks. 3 λέξεις με διαφορετική σημασία άρρηκτα πια συνδεδεμένες με μια ακόμη λέξη. Γιορτή!
To Reworks παρουσιάζει τους πρώτους καλλιτέχνες και σχήματα που θα εμφανιστούν στη Θεσσαλονίκη το 3ο Σαββατοκύριακο του Σεπτέμβρη. Οι GusGus, Kiasmos, Mind Against, Kobosil παρουσιάζονται για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα μαζί με τους WhoMadeWho οι οποίοι εμφανίζονται για πρώτη φορά στην Θεσσαλονίκη. Ben Klock, Agoria, Michael Mayer, Mano Le Tough και το καλύτερο live act στον κόσμο για το 2015 KiNK θα είναι στην Θεσσαλονίκη τον Σεπτέμβρη.

Μέχρι σήμερα το φεστιβάλ φιλοξένησε και παρουσίασε το έργο περισσότερων από 900 καλλιτεχνών και σχημάτων. Σταθερά στα 10 καλύτερα φεστιβάλ του κόσμου για το μήνα Σεπτέμβρη τα τελευταία 9 συνεχόμενα χρόνια στο μεγαλύτερο διαδικτυακό μέσο στον κόσμο το Resident Advisor, το Reworks βάζει την Ελλάδα και τη Θεσσαλονίκη στον παγκόσμιο φεστιβαλικό χάρτη. 11 χρόνια γεμάτα από μοναδικές στιγμές, χαμόγελα, χέρια στον αέρα, χορό... 11 χρόνια Reworks.

Φέτος το φεστιβάλ προσδοκά να καταστήσει τη Θεσσαλονίκη για μια ακόμη χρονιά σε σημείο συνάντησης των φίλων της μουσικής από όλη τη χώρα και το εξωτερικό. Σταθερά συνεχίζοντας να αναπτύσσεται παρότι την οικονομική κρίση, η 12η έκδοση του φεστιβάλ για πρώτη χρονιά θα διαρκέσει 5 ημέρες. Με αφετηρία τη Θεσσαλονίκη τον Απρίλιο και με φετινές παρουσιάσεις σε Bαρκελώνη, Λονδίνο, Τρόμσο, Σόφια και Σκόπια η 12η έκδοση του διεθνούς μουσικού φεστιβάλ Reworks θα πραγματοποιηθεί από τις 14-18 Σεπτεμβρίου 2016.

REWORKS AGORA
Ένα νέο κεφάλαιο ξεκινά για το Reworks. To φεστιβάλ εντάσσει στο πρόγραμμα της ετήσιας δράσης του ένα πολυδύναμο και διαθεματικό forum με διεθνή απήχηση, στο οποίο θα παρουσιαστούν ομιλητές, ειδικοί και εμπειρογνώμονες του ευρύτερου χώρου της μουσικής, της τεχνολογίας και του πολιτισμού. Eργαστήρια, συζητήσεις, παρουσιάσεις, θα λάβουν χώρα με στόχο να εμπνεύσουν ένα κοινό μελλοντικό όραμα για τη μουσική, την ψηφιακή κουλτούρα, την τεχνολογία και την πολιτιστική επιχειρηματικότητα, συμβάλλοντας ταυτόχρονα στην εξέλιξη τους στην Ελλάδα.
