Πριν από 4 χρόνια η μουσική σκηνή του Βερολίνου απέκτησε ένα ακόμη hot σημείο, το Mangali.

Four years ago, the music scene of Berlin gained another hot spot, the Mangali. The word Mangali soon connected with a series of summer parties in open areas in which many famous and talented artists took part in such as Mymy, Konrad Black, M.a.n.d.y., Pan-Pot, Anja schneider, Margeret Dygas, Seth Troxler, Carsten Klemann and many others. Founders of Mangali, many artists, producers and people who deal with the organization of events tried to give a new essence to their parties. Quickly, the famous Mangali converted into a Label for special music talents. Today, the legacy of Mangali continues in Mexico, which is the start of their tour for 2010.

How did you come up with the idea of Mangali and why did you choose this name?
We used mangali or fou-fou for warmth or for cooking meat and other goodies. The process is simple. We gather the charcoal, we burn them and the heat that comes from it cooks the meat (many laughs..)
Mangali started as a series of parties , once a week and it presented anything fresh the music scene of Berlin could bring out. MANDY, MY MY, Pan-Pot, Anja Schneider, Margaret Dygas, Argy, Gummihz, Cj Jeff, Ekkohaus, Ewan Pearson ,Radioslave ,Κiki are a few names that played on decks.

Good weather, sand in the dancefloor, mangalis with fire , good music and friendly atmosphere were the ingredients of the party. This party got bigger , developed and last year ended into a big charity outdoor event witch attracted more than 3.000 people. New year found us in Mexico, where it served as resident for the label Mangali Music.

Who are the basic members of your team and which artists do you have in your Label?
The basic members are Jannis Siopis (A&R), Jannis Varelas (P&R), Sonja Schmaelzle (management/promotion). We have David Turuel, a new artist from Mexico Αnd.id and Siopis And of course we ‘re looking for new talents with personal style. The first e.p. is from kiki&silversurfer and it will be realesed in April.

In 2010 , Mexico was your first destination and the start of your tour too. Why (was) that? Do you believe that people react to this kind of event more in Mexico than in Berlin?
What ‘s better than Mangali GOES Caribic? It’s just that our vibes led us to create something like that in Mexico. People there is more enthusiast.
And also, there is a mix of white beaches, jungle and of course great tequila.

What/ which are you plans and goals for the future?
There aren’t any specific plans. The most important thing is love for music, good energy and innovative sound.

Η λέξη Mangali συνδέθηκε άμεσα με μια σειρά από καλοκαιρινά party, σε ανοιχτούς χώρους, στα οποία πολλοί γνωστοί και ταλαντούχοι καλλιτέχνες πήραν μέρος όπως Mymy , konrad black, M.a.n.d.y., Pan-Pot, Anja schneider, Margeret Dygas, Seth Troxler, Carsten Klemann, Siopis και πολλούς ακόμα. Ιδρυτές του πολλοί καλλιτέχνες και παραγωγοί, καθώς και άτομα που ασχολούνται με την διοργάνωση εκδηλώσεων, οι οποίοι προσπάθησαν να δώσουν μια νέα αίσθηση στα party τους. Πολύ γρήγορα το διάσημο Mangali μετατράπηκε σε ένα Label για ξεχωριστά μουσικά ταλέντα.

Σήμερα η κληρονομία του Mangali συνεχίζεται στο Μεξικό το όποιο αποτέλεσε και την αρχή της περιοδείας τους για το 2010.

Πως δημιουργήθηκε η ιδέα για το Μangali και γιατί επιλέξατε αυτό το όνομα;
Το Μαγκάλι ή Φου-Φού το χρησιμοποιούσαμε για να ζεσταθούμε ή να ψήσουμε κρέατα και άλλα καλούδια.
Η διαδικασία είναι απλή. Γεμίζουμε κάρβουνα , βάζουμε φωτιά και η θερμότητα που προκαλείτε σιγοψήνει τα κρέατα.(γέλια...)
το Mangali ξεκίνησε σαν μια σειρά από partys, μια φορά την εβδομάδα και παρουσίαζε ότι πιο φρέσκο είχε να αναδείξει η σκηνή του Βερολίνου. MANDY, MY MY, Pan-Pot, Anja Schneider, Margaret Dygas, Argy, Gummihz, Cj Jeff, Ekkohaus, Ewan Pearson ,Radioslave ,Κiki είναι μερικά από τα ονόματα που παρελάσανε από τα decks. Kαλός καιρός, άμμο στο dancefloor, μαγκάλια με φωτιές, καλή μουσική και φιλική διάθεση ήταν τα συστατικά του party.
Αυτό το party μεγάλωσε ,εξελίχθηκε και κατέληξε την περασμένη χρονιά σε ένα μεγάλο φιλανθρωπικό outdoor event που προσέλκυσε πάνω από 3000 κόσμο. H νέα χρονιά μας βρήκε στο Mεξικό οπού εκεί μπήκαν τα θεμέλια για την δισκογραφική εταιρία Mangali Music.

Ποια τα βασικά μελή της ομάδα σας και ποιους καλλιτέχνες έχετε στο Label σας;
Τα βασικά μέλη είναι Jannis siopis (A&R), Jannis Varelas (P&R), sonja schmaelzle (management/promotion). Έχουμε τον David Turuel έναν νέο artist από Μεξικό Αnd.id & Siopis και ψάχνουμε φυσικά και νέα καινούργια ταλέντα με προσωπικό style. Το πρώτο e.p θα είναι από kiki&silversurfer το release θα γίνει τον Απρίλιο.

To 2010 το Μεξικό αποτέλεσε τον πρώτο προορισμό σας κ την αρχή της περιοδείας σας για ποιο λόγο; Πιστευτέ ότι η απήχηση του κόσμου σε τέτοιες εκδηλώσεις στο Μεξικό είναι μεγαλύτερη από ότι στο Βερολίνο;
Τι καλύτερο από το Μangali GOES CARIBIC απλώς οι ενέργειες μας οδήγησαν ώστε να δημιουργήσουμε κάτι τέτοιο στο Μεξικό o κόσμος είναι πολύ πιο ενθουσιώδης και υπάρχει και μια μαγιά άσπρες παραλίες , ζούγκλα και φυσικά
καλή tequila.

Τελος Ποια είναι τα σχεδία σας για το μέλλον και ποιοι οι στόχοι σας;
Δεν υπάρχουν συγκεκριμένα σχέδια το πιο βασικό είναι η αγάπη στην μουσική ,καλή ενέργεια κ πρωτοποριακό sound.
