Who were you inspired by in your lives and careers?
Steve - Kindness inspires me, when people are at their best they inspire me.
Alex - My father has been an inspiration to me, teaching me how to become a good person. In my career I get inspired all the time by people who are passionate about their work and give truly amazing results.

During the last five years we noticed that House music went through several stages. In the beginning the sound was more percussive with strong afro elements. Then, jazzy features were added. Now the sound is deep, with intense disco influences. Could you predict how the sound of House will evolve in the future?
Steve - Yes I believe it is going to go through a very polished pumping
sound something similar to early progressive house.
Alex - I think that within the next year we'll have a recycling of older Ηouse music styles. We can already listen to dirty tracks (production- wise) with acidic elements or big bassline tracks, like the old speed garage genre, that are starting to have a lot of followers. Once this is over I believe that a softer type of techno might come forward.

Viva Warriors. If you could describe it using only one word, what would that be?
Steve – Party
Alex- JustAmazingPeopleAtmosphereVibeParty (Its one word OKz?)

What do you think of Greek producers? Are there any who have drawn your
attention?
Steve - Of course Detlef caught my eye and I am a big fan of his levels of talent and skill.
Alex - Greek producers are brilliant! Many of them out there make amazing music which people love and play. To name just a few from a huge and long list, Argy, And.id, Nikola Gala, Siopis, are some of my favorite ones whose sound I love.

Alex, tell us about your live setup. What does it include and what setup do you
use?
Digital, Analog, or both?
Alex - I use mainly digital setup because its difficult to travel around with expensive analogue gear which also takes too much space. My setup includes a Native Instruments Audio 10, an Akai APC40 which is my main console where I control 9 channels of audio, Native Instruments Maschine which is where most of my drums come from and also in order to make new drum patterns as I play, Novation Launchpad which I use for sound fx and sounds filling the background or vocals. Novation Nocturn for my master effects and other automations I have assigned on this and of course a computer which runs Ableton Live to give life to all.

What are your plans for the future?
Alex - Plans are stressful and never work. I believe that hard work is the best plan you could have and, actually, the only plan that can help you with your career.

Από πού έχτε αντλήσει έμπνευση, στη ζωή και στην καριέρα σας;
Steve – Η ευγένεια με εμπνέει, οι άνθρωποι όταν δίνουν τον καλύτερό τους εαυτό.
Alex – Ο πατέρας μου έχει υπάρξει μεγάλη πηγή έμπνευσης για μένα, μαθαίνοντάς με να είμαι καλός άνθρωπος. Στην καριέρα μου εμπνέομαι συνέχεια από ανθρώπους που έχουν πάθος για τη δουλειά τους και πραγματικά δίνουν καταπληκτικά αποτελέσματα.

Παρατηρούμε πως τα τελευταία πέντε χρόνια η House έχει περάσει από αρκετά στάδια. Αρχικά ο ήχος ήταν περισσότερο κρουστικός, με έντονα afro στοιχεία. Στη συνέχεια προστέθηκαν jazzy στοιχεία, ενώ τώρα ο ήχος είναι πιο deep με σαφείς disco επιρροές. Θα μπορούσατε να κάνετε μια πρόβλεψη για το πώς θα εξελιχθεί η House στο μέλλον;
Steve – Ναι, πιστεύω πως θα περάσει σε έναν πολύ ραφιναρισμένο, pumping ήχο, κάτι παρόμοιο με την πρώιμη progressive House.
Alex – Νομίζω πως θα έχουμε μια ανακύκλωση παλαιότερων ειδών House. Ήδη ακούμε ‘βρώμικα’ κομμάτια (από άποψη παραγωγής) με acid στοιχεία ή κομμάτια με χοντρές μπασογραμμές όπως το παλιό speed garage, τα οποία αρχίζουν να αποκτούν μεγάλο κοινό. Μόλις όλο αυτό τελειώσει πιστεύω πως μάλλον θα έρθει στο προσκήνιο ένα πιο «μαλακό» είδος techno.

Viva Warriors. Αν το περιγράφατε μόνο με μία λέξη, ποια θα ήταν αυτή;
Steve – Party
Alex- JustAmazingPeopleAtmosphereVibeParty (μία λέξη είναι OKz?)

Τι πιστεύετε για τους Έλληνες παραγωγούς; Υπάρχουν κάποιοι που έχουν τραβήξει την προσοχή σας;
Steve – Φυσικά ο Detlef έχει τραβήξει την προσοχή μου, έχει ταλέντα και δεξιότητες σε πολλαπλά επίπεδα και είμαι μεγάλος fan του.
Alex – Οι Έλληνες παραγωγοί είναι εξαιρετικοί! Ο κόσμος αγαπάει και παίζει τη μουσική πολλών από αυτούς, που είναι όντως καταπληκτική. Argy, And.id, Nikola Gala, Siopis, για να αναφέρω κάποια από τα ονόματα μιας τεράστιας λίστας παραγωγών των οποίων τον ήχο λατρέυω.

Alex, πες μας για το live setup σου. Τι συμπεριλαμβάνει και τι setup χρησιμοποιείς; Digital, Analog, ή και τα δύο;
Alex – Χρησιμοποιώ κυρίως digital setup γιατί είναι δύσκολο να ταξιδεύεις με ακριβό αναλογικό εξοπλισμό, ο οποίος είναι και πολύ ογκώδης. Το setup μου περιλαμβάνει ένα Native Instruments Audio 10, ένα Akai APC40 –την βασική κονσόλα μου απ’ όπου ελέγχω 9 κανάλια- ένα Native Instruments Maschine απ’ όπου προέρχονται και τα περισσότερα drums μου και επίσης για να φτιάχνω καινούρια drum patterns την ώρα που παίζω, ένα Novation Launchpad το οποίο χρησιμοποιώ για sound fx και ήχους που συμπληρώνουν το background ή τα φωνητικά. Novation Nocturn για τα master effects και άλλους αυτοματισμούς και φυσικά έναν υπολογιστή στον οποίο δουλεύω το Ableton Live που μου είναι απαραίτητο για να δώσω ζωή σε όλα αυτά.

Ποιά είναι τα σχέδιά σου για το μέλλον;
Alex – Τα σχέδια είναι στρεσογόνα και δε δουλεύουν ποτέ. Πιστεύω πως η σκληρή δουλειά είναι το καλύτερο σχέδιο που μπορείς να έχεις και, βασικά, το μοναδικό που μπορεί να σε βοηθήσει στην καριέρα σου.
