Neverdogs & Reelow – Respect Ep
Hopeless Label is a fresh record label, as it was founded in 2014, based in Spain and particularly in Barcelona. Neverdogs, in turn, consist of two individuals of Italian origin, with their real names to be Marko De Grergorio & Tommy Paone. In the early 90's, they first made their effort separately, but shortly after, they joined forces and since then, the rise has began. On the other hand, we have the Hungarian Reelow, who is also based of Spain. With many influences from jazz, soul, breakbeat, hip hop and techno, he creates his own sound and has already gained the respect and support of several renowned artists.
In this album we distinguish mainly a more tech house style, with very elaborate percussion, bold and mysterious vocals, while in some places there are also abstract sounds, giving a completely different twist to this type of music. The remix from Ilario Liburni gives more depth and a different atmosphere in the original piece, which was “drier”. Respectively, the remix by Kato & RPM is not as coloured, but keeps its base as it is and gets softened, lowering some percussion and adding a few hats. It was released on 15 May 2015.
Η Hopeless Label είναι μια φρέσκια δισκογραφική εταιρία, καθώς ιδρύθηκε το 2014 με έδρα την Ισπανία και συγκεκριμένα την Βαρκελώνη. Οι Neverdogs, με την σειρά τους, αποτελούνται από δύο άτομα Ιταλικής καταγωγής με τα πραγματικά τους ονόματα να είναι Marko De Grergorio & Tommy Paone. Στις αρχές του 90’ έκανε ο καθένας τους τη δική του προσπάθεια ξεχωριστά, αλλά δεν άργησε η στιγμή, που ένωσαν τις δυνάμεις τους και από τότε, άρχισε η ανοδική πορεία γι’ αυτούς. Από την άλλη, έχουμε τον Oύγγρο Reelow, που έχει και αυτός σαν βάση του την Ισπανία. Mε πολλές επιρροές από jazz, soul, breakbeat, hip hop και techno, δημιουργεί τον δικό του ήχο και έχει πλέον τον σεβασμό και την στήριξη αρκετών καταξιωμένων καλλιτεχνών.
Σε αυτό το άλμπουμ διακρίνουμε κατά κύριο λόγο, ένα πιο tech house ύφος, με πολύ καλοδουλεμένα κρουστά, με έντονα και μυστήρια vocals, ενώ σε ορισμένα σημεία δεν λείπουν και οι abstract ήχοι, που δίνουν μια τελείως διαφορετική νότα σε αυτό το είδος. Το remix από τον Ilario Liburni δίνει περισσότερο βάθος και μια άλλη ατμόσφαιρα στο αρχικό κομμάτι, που ήταν πιο «στεγνό». Αντίστοιχα, το remix από τον Lower & OSp δεν είναι τόσο χρωματικό, ωστόσο κρατά την βάση του ως έχει και το απαλύνει, χαμηλώνοντας κάποια κρουστά και προσθέτοντας λίγα hats. Kυκλοφόρησε στις 15 Μαϊου 2015.
