Recondite – Placid
Much loved to most of the fans of electronic scene, Lorenz Brunner or preferably, Recondite, hasn't stopped to draw our attention in recent years. The German artist through the album On Acid -Absurd Recordings, Acid Test (2)- has created, since 2012, his very own identity and a unique style in music. Tracks like Milk Plus (Dystopian records), the Caldera (Hotflush UK Recordings) or Serak (Life and Death), remind us and underline what the role of this artist is. He combines melancholy with the mood for dancing.
Recondite creates an interaction between music, people and the environment. With the latest EP, Placid -Absurd Recordings, Acid Test (2)- he presents a more intense and dark, but simultaneously, melodic side. The album consists of ten songs, which seem to have many features in common. Sounds of analog synthesizers and drum machines, enriched with effects, coexist with full bass lines and harmonic melodies. The volume and depth of every track comes to the surface through a very good mixing.
Lay can be considered to be faster in rhythm, compared to Subdue, which, just before the end, gives us a sophisticated and slightly acidic tone. Undulate, Sequenze and Placid contain sharp percussion with more diverse sounds, while each one, reveals something special, that will stick in your ear. His music moves into this mysterious, lean, but not empty at all, style. The EP was released on November 12, 2015.
O πλέον αγαπητός στους περισσότερους λάτρεις της ηλεκτρονικής σκηνής, Lorenz Brunner ή καλύτερα Recondite, δεν έχει σταματήσει να τραβάει την προσοχή μας τα τελευταία χρόνια. Ο Γερμανός καλλιτέχνης, το 2012 μέσω το άλμπουμ του On Acid -Absurd Recordings, Acid Test (2)- δημιούργησε την δική του ταυτότητα και ένα ολόδικό του μουσικό ύφος. Kομμάτια, όπως το Milk Plus (Dystopian records), το Caldera (Hotflush UK Recordings) ή το Serak (Life and Death), μας θυμίζουν και μας τονίζουν ποιος είναι ο ρόλος αυτού του καλλιτέχνη. Συνδυάζει τη μελαγχολία με την διάθεση για χορό.
Ο Recondite δημιουργεί μια αλληλεπίδραση ανάμεσα στην μουσική, τον άνθρωπο και το περιβάλλον. Με το τελευταίο του EP, Placid -Absurd Recordings, Acid Test (2)- παρουσιάζει μια πιο έντονη και σκοτεινή, αλλά ταυτόχρονα, μελωδική πλευρά του. Το άλμπουμ αποτελείται από δέκα κομμάτια, τα οποία έχουν πολλά κοινά χαρακτηριστικά. Ήχοι από αναλογικά synthesizers και drum machines, εμπλουτισμένοι με εφέ, συνυπάρχουν με γεμάτες μπασογραμμές και αρμονικές μελωδίες. Ο όγκος και το βάθος του εκάστοτε κομματιού έρχεται στην επιφάνεια μέσω μιας πολύ καλής μίξης.
Το Lay μπορεί να θεωρηθεί πιο γρήγορο ρυθμικά, σε σχέση με το Subdue, το οποίο λίγο πριν το τέλος του, μας δίνει έναν περίτεχνο και ελαφρώς όξινο ήχο. Τα Undulate, Sequenze και Placid περιέχουν κοφτά κρουστά με πιο ποικιλόμορφους ήχους, ενώ το καθένα ξεχωριστά, έχει να δώσει κάτι ιδιαίτερο, που θα σου μείνει στο αφτί. H μουσική του κινείται σε αυτό το μυστήριο, λιτό, αλλά καθόλου άδειο, ύφος. Κυκλοφόρησε στις 12 Νοεμβρίου 2015.
